Summit series 2020 -

The Summit series is an ongoing project which began during Covid lockdowns. I began what came to be ‘Summit 1’ as a challenge to capture the light and unique colours of the alpine environment at the summit of Kunanyi, in linocut form. I continue to be inspired and so continue to find work that seems to fit this series. Living on the lower slopes of Kunanyi, I feel an affinity with the place despite its inhospitable nature. In fact, I suspect that the harshness is one of the things that really draws me to alpine environments.
