Large Landscape Collages

These landscape collages are made by tearing and cutting my prints and finding ways that they connect. Following the lines through feels like drawing and when a shape suddenly emerges it is as if it has always been there, waiting to be uncovered. The first collages were primitive, simply using strips torn from my lino prints. As I experimented further, I found that almost any cut or torn piece could be used. Even pieces that were cut away could become part of a new landscape. I enjoy exploring how far I can push this.
