‘Small World 18’, is part of my ongoing series of ‘Small World’ collages. I love making these unique small worlds, tearing and cutting my linocuts and finding lines and shapes that connect. The composition is raised from the surface of the paper with a spacer to create a shadow line. I love the added ‘dimension’ that the shadow creates. Each small world seems to have its own personality and I try to express that when painting the composition.
