Helix
‘Helix’ 2025 was made as a printing experiment. I cut a portion of the lino block for ‘Crossing Over’ and repeated it, upside down. I had been thinking about exploring and exploiting the repetitive nature of printmaking as a way of introducing the idea of life cycles. I found the helix shape created by the repetition of the tree branches a compelling one. Its something I would like to explore further.
This work was exhibited at Rosny Schoolhouse Gallery as part of the ‘Proof: South’ show in June 2025.
This unframed linocut will be shipped securely in a mailing cylinder.
Medium: Hand Painted Linocut
Edition Size: Unique A/P
Image Size: 88 cm h x 62 cm w
