‘Stand, RIght’ is from a series of works celebrating the the alpine landscapes of Tasmania. It features a stand of boulders on the summit of Kunanyi, surrounded by flowering alpine plants, and is the right half of my larger, multiblock linocut ‘Stand’. I love the slant of afternoon light casting deep shadows across the rocks and plants, and the line of the rocks against the sky.
This linocut measures approximately 30cm (12") wide by 45cm (20”) high. The paper is larger still, as pictured, making it ideal for either float mounting or traditional window mounting. Each print is numbered and signed with this being a small edition of 8. I print using oil-based relief printing ink on Stonehenge paper. Each linocut is then individually hand painted with watercolour.
This unframed linocut will be shipped securely in a mailing cylinder.
