Projection Bluff

A$2,400.00

‘Projection Bluff’ 2026 is a large linocut carved from 4 lino blocks. It is inspired by Projection Bluff in the central plateau area of Tasmania, where a rocky projection juts out into the highland marshes. The vegetation is rich and diverse, and the terrain steep. Each of the 4 blocks create a ‘step’ up towards the highest point.

I love the light coming in at an oblique angle to the mountain, highlighting the jagged rocky outcrops erupting from the bush. The light also highlights the trunks of the eucalypts, making them bright against the deep undergrowth around them.

This linocut measures approximately 98cm wide by 46cm high, not including signature. The paper is only slighlty larger, as pictured, and the artwork is intended to be float mounted. Each print is numbered and signed with this being a small edition of 6. I print using oil-based relief printing ink on oversized sheets of Stonehenge paper. Each linocut is then individually hand painted with watercolour.
