Through the Trees

A$400.00
Sold Out

'Through the Trees' is an original, hand coloured linocut depicting a landscape from the Tasman Peninsula, in southern Tasmania. Tasmania is a wild and beautiful place. Everywhere you look, there are trees. I often find myself looking through the trees to what lies beyond. In this case, it’s a sunny spring day and the land beyond the trees is bathed in sunlight contrasting with the deep blue of the bay. In the foreground, there is dappled sunlight on the tree trunks and the spring natives are in flower in the shadows.

I hand carve the lino block, and print using oil based printing ink onto Stonehenge printmakers paper. I then hand paint each print individually with artist quality watercolour. Each print is signed and numbered, with this being a small edition of 25. The print itself is 25cm x 25cm (almost 10" x 10") with the paper generously sized around it, as pictured. The paper has a deckled/torn edge.

Your print will be shipped flat, mounted on a piece of acid-free foam core and wrapped in cello wrap to ensure that it arrives in perfect condition. It also makes it easy to gift-wrap should you wish to give is as a gift.
