Hewn, Right

A$750.00

Hewn, RIght is the right-hand panel of a larger double-panelled piece titled 'Hewn'. I created the work using 2 blocks and this is the right side printed on its own. (See 'Hewn, Left' here) In this piece, a large rock looks as if it is chiselled or cut from the rocks around it. I like the idea that I have cut the image too. In this piece, I love the deep shadows between the rocks and the little details that are found there. The sun is at a sharp angle and catches the tops of the plants creating a stark contrast, as it often does in the alpine regions.

This linocut measures approximately 30cm wide by 45cm high, not including signature. The paper is larger still, as pictured. Each print is numbered and signed with this being a small edition of 5. I print using oil-based relief printing ink on Stonehenge paper. Each linocut is then individually hand painted with watercolour.

This unframed linocut will be shipped securely in a mailing cylinder.

Medium: Hand Painted Linocut

Edition Size: 5

Image Size: 30cm x 45cm
