‘Surfacing’ At Devonport Regional Gallery
Coming up on 1st August, I will be exhibiting with the nowhereprint collective at Devonport Regional Gallery. The group exhibition titled ‘Surfacing’ will present the work of 14 artists working in printmaking from across Tasmania. Responding to the island as both place and process, the premise of the exhibition is to draw parallels between the shifting surface of the landscape and the printmaking matrix. Like the island itself, the surfaces that the artists work on are sites of constant negotiation that become marked, layered and transformed through pressure, time and material exchange. The works will capture a broad range of printmaking techniques, and reflect the diversity of practices within the nowhereprint collective.
Artists exhibiting are -
Alex White, Damon Bird, Emma Magnusson-Reid, Grace Gladdish, Helen Mueller, Hope Smith, Jan Hogan, Jennifer Marshall, Melissa Smith, Michael Schlitz, Natasha Rowell, Olivia Moroney, Rebecca Coote, Tony Curran.
The exhibition will open on 1st August and continue until 3 October
Check the Devonport Regional Gallery website for opening hours.
