I’m thrilled to be having a solo show here in Hobart, my first solo show in my hometown. ‘Elevation’ will be a collection of recent new linocuts and collages all centred around the Tasmanian alpine environments that inspire me so much. With the work in this show, I’ve continued to explore and push the possibilities of hand painted linocut, and have been particularly excited to pull out all the stops with collage as well. Tearing up my linocuts and making new ‘landscapes’ with them has been a breath of fresh air for my practice and I’m excited (and nervous!) to see how they are received.

The show will be at SOCIAL at Salamanca Arts Centre and will run from 10th to 21st July, during the Tasmanian school holidays. I will be in the gallery most days, probably with some lino carving to keep me occupied, so if you are in the area I would love for you to pop in and have a chat. You are also most welcome to the opening event on Friday 11th July, 5.30 pm - 7.30 pm.
